My mother Aishwarya has been accepted for treatment at Ahmedabad University Hospital in Ahmedabad, starting on Monday in September. We live 349 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Aishwarya and me. We can contribute $25 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Aishwarya will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Glad we found this place.

  • Good luck, Mangesh. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

    • Stay strong, Mangesh. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double!
