I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Cầu Giấy Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100. My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,100 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $1,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $35 I hope life is good to you.
