Santiago needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,300.

Santiago lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Newcastle Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,300.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Santiago could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
