A pair of hearing aids for Jide: help Jide move freely
A pair of hearing aids would give Jide independence - we are $600 away.
Anywhere in the world1,235 views
Jide lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Gwagwalada Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Jide could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $600 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $510
• Fitting and training sessions: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $25
Glad we found this place.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Jide.
It's all in the list in the story. pair of hearing aids is the big one at $510, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
Thinking of you, Blessing. Shared this with my family. After 17 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this, Blessing. Shared this with my family.
Wishing you peace, Blessing. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
keep going, Blessing. Wishing Jide a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My husband and I read this together.
Thinking of you, Blessing. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Gwagwalada
