In May an inspector told me that my home has a leaking gas line. It's a safety risk for me and my elderly mother. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $230 are beyond us.
I'm looking for a licensed electrician who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $30.
The job should take about eight hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request.
If you're an electrician and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Keep going. Your post was clear and honest. Put this on a community board in Dar es Salaam this morning. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.
So sorry you're going through this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Katowice.
