A fresh start in Fort Worth: help the Hosseini family resettle
Help a family of 8 start their new life in Fort Worth: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.
🇺🇸 Fort Worth, Texas, United States3,424 views
My family left Myanmar 7 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Fort Worth. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was an electrician in Myanmar, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $4,050 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,150
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $760
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $660
• Language classes and bus passes: $380
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $100
Thank you for reading my story.

you're not alone, Hadley. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings.
Hope it all works out. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Fort Worth.
I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Cox's Bazar this morning. All the best.
