A free library and reading room for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Lahore
Volunteers in Lahore are raising $400 for a free library and reading room at the old Baobab bus depot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 303 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $40
