A few hours of family-law attorney time could save Yuki's home
Legal aid is overbooked; a few hours of professional help would change the outcome for Yuki.

I'm facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid, with a hearing on November. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified family-law attorney licensed in Tokyo who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Tokyo or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 18 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything
