Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Paisley's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 72 and I have lived in this house in Sacramento for 29 years. After the storm in July, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall. The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. Thanks for being kind about this.

          • Sending strength, Paisley. Wishing Paisley a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
