A covered market stall space for the Unity vacant lot: help our neighbors in Pune
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Unity vacant lot that will serve 591 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 591 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
• Materials: $210
