A covered market stall space for the Sycamore health centre yard: help our neighbors in Dammam
Volunteers in Dammam are raising $1,150 for a covered market stall space at the Sycamore health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 211 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Materials: $660
• Permits and inspections: $190
• Tools hire and delivery: $300
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
Updates from Yasir
Good news. Because of your gifts ($331 in total) the plan for tools hire and delivery is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Kasarani so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Swansea.
Hope it all works out, Yasir. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless
hang in there, Yasir. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
