A covered market stall space for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Tema
Volunteers in Tema are raising $350 for a covered market stall space at the Liberty vacant lot.
🇬🇭 Ghana1,068 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 332 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $20
• Materials: $255
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Abena
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. safety equipment and signage is the biggest at $75. Good question.
Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Tema
Hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Kediri but we're thinking of you
