A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in New Delhi
Volunteers in New Delhi are raising $500 for a covered market stall space at Unity Park.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 214 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $390
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
