A community garden for the Baobab community hall: help our neighbors in Hải Phòng
A community-led a community garden at the Baobab community hall that will serve 476 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 476 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $540
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Permits and inspections: $65

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($540) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for asking.
