A community fridge for the Sycamore health centre yard: help our neighbors in Flint
A community-led a community fridge at the Sycamore health centre yard that will serve 192 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 192 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $340
• Tools hire and delivery: $470
• Materials: $2,440
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
