A community fridge for Liberty Park: help our neighbors in Latina

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $1,300 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,300. It will serve about 293 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
