The Unity vacant lot needs a solar-powered water pump - Kamal's neighborhood project
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the Unity vacant lot that will serve 173 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 173 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
