A communication tablet with eye tracking for Vida: help Vida move freely
A communication tablet with eye tracking would give Vida independence - we're $900 away.
🇬🇭 Greater Accra, Ghana2,284 views
Vida lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Accra Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $900.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Vida could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $900 goes:
• communication tablet with eye tracking: $790
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $45
Thank you so much.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Vida?
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out
thinking of you and your family, Kwesi. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Accra
thanks for sharing this, Kwesi. Shared this with my family. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.
Best of luck, Kwesi. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
