Yetunde lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Kano Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750. Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Yetunde could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $750 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $10 • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $700 • Fitting and training sessions: $40 Thanks for being kind about this.
