A cochlear implant processor upgrade for Paul: help Paul move freely

A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Paul independence - we're $1,100 away.

Paul lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Gwagwalada General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Paul could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,100 goes: • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $960 • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • Delivery and set-up: $35 • First-year servicing plan: $55 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
