I'm launching a small online shop in Mumbai next August. I have saved the start-up funds myself, but I have never run a business before. I've questions about pricing, suppliers, simple bookkeeping, hiring and - frankly - how not to burn out.
I'm looking for a mentor with real small-business experience, ideally in a small online shop, willing to have a monthly call for the first six months. I'll bring a list of questions and my numbers.
If you have a few hours a month, and enjoy helping someone avoid the mistakes you made, I'd really appreciate it.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
- effort
- 1 hour a month
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- small business experience, bookkeeping, pricing

Wishing you the best, Seema. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Mumbai
I hope things turn around soon. Love from Philadelphia.
hope things get better soon, Seema. Hope you get there
Hang in there, Seema. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings.
Rooting for you. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Jakarta Selatan this morning.
good luck, Seema. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Keep going. Hope the shop reopens soon. Sent it to 38 people at work. All the best.
thinking of you, Seema. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
Best of luck, Seema. Looking forward to the next update
Keep going, Seema. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
Sending strength, Seema. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. All the best
keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 22 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Take care, Seema. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
