Jabu's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Jabu needs gallbladder removal at Soweto General Hospital and the family is $800 short of the hospital's estimate.

In September I was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated. My surgeon at Soweto General Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,350, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $800 short.
Doctors at Soweto General Hospital told me a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without gallbladder removal. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,350 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
