I'm launching a dog-grooming salon in Lagos next November. I have saved the start-up funds myself, but I have never run a business before. I've questions about pricing, suppliers, simple bookkeeping, hiring and - frankly - how not to burn out. I'm looking for a mentor with real small-business experience, ideally in a dog-grooming salon, willing to have a monthly call for the first six months. I'll bring a list of questions and my numbers. If you have a few hours a month, and enjoy helping someone avoid the mistakes you made, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 30 people at work.

    • Sending love, Chioma. Hope the shop reopens soon. After 11 years in accounting I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Love from Duque de Caxias

      • Best of luck. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Pokhara so I could bring a meal. God bless

        • I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Blessings.

          • So sorry you're going through this, Chioma. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.

            • Take care, Chioma. Small businesses are the heart of Lagos. Hope you're open again soon. Love from Iztapalapa.
