I coordinate donations at Sycamore Refugee Centre in Irapuato. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Irapuato, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Refugee Centre on Tuesday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Wishing you the best, Inés. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Winnipeg but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Irapuato.
