I coordinate donations at Sycamore Women's Shelter in Cebu City. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Cebu City, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Women's Shelter on Friday between 11am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Cebu City

    • You're not alone, Mary Grace. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
