Clean streets and rivers for Beersheba: restoring the Pioneer riverbank
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Pioneer riverbank needs $2,100 for saplings and equipment.
🇮🇱 Israel2,205 views
The Pioneer riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 78 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 193 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the local forestry office, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Waste removal and skip hire: $580
• Tools and protective gear: $260
• Native saplings and stakes: $1,260
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

You're not alone. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Sent it to 30 people at work. God bless
Thinking of you, Eitan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Eitan
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. waste removal and skip hire comes first ($580) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
best of luck, Eitan. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
Stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Nakuru this morning.
Wishing you peace, Eitan. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together. Love from Stellenbosch
is there anything that isn't money that would help Eitan?
Thank you. If you're in Beersheba I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Ask me anything else.
gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update. Take care.

I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Multan but we're thinking of you.
Praying for you, Eitan. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
