I coordinate donations at Sycamore Refugee Centre in Leicester. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Leicester, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Refugee Centre on Friday between 10am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Praying for you, Rohan. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
Hope you get there. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Syracuse.
thanks for sharing this, Rohan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.
sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
Hope it all works out, Rohan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Leicester.
