I coordinate donations at Cedar Women's Shelter in Chicago. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Chicago, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Cedar Women's Shelter on Tuesday between 11am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Cedar Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone, Alejandra. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Medellín
Stay strong, Alejandra. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We're a small family in Madrid but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Madrid
