I coordinate donations at Union Women's Shelter in Gwagwalada. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Gwagwalada, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Women's Shelter on Wednesday between 10am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
