House fire that spread across the block in Lahore: help the Harbor settlement rebuild
After the house fire that spread across the block, families in the Harbor settlement need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the Harbor settlement on 2 August. My home was one of 65 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $400 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $115
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $95
• Food parcels for displaced families: $190
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Lahore
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Zeeshan.
Sure. The biggest one is clean water and purification supplies, $115. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
shared it with a few friends. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care
Thanks for sharing this, Zeeshan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Lahore.
good luck, Zeeshan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
