I coordinate donations at the Lotus Family Centre in Lagos. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Lagos, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Lotus Family Centre on Saturday between 10am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Lotus Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.

Wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Lagos.
