I coordinate donations at Acacia Women's Shelter in Pune. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Pune, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Acacia Women's Shelter on Thursday between 11am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Acacia Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I hope life is good to you.

Thinking of you and your family, Parvathi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

Your post was clear and honest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care!
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Jimma.
