I coordinate donations at Sycamore Refugee Centre in Contagem. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Contagem, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Sycamore Refugee Centre on Monday between 9am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Sycamore Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I hope life is good to you.

        • Thinking of you, Renato. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Boston
