39 volunteers for the Refugee Welcome Picnic in New Delhi

We're short of hands for the Refugee Welcome Picnic; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 449 neighbors in New Delhi. I help organize it with 4 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope October is when things finally get easier. All the best

    • Hope it all works out. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care

      • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Lapu-Lapu this morning. All the best.
