Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 587 neighbors in Mumbai. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Good luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Coyoacán.

Keep going, Aishwarya. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
