38 volunteers for the Seniors' Tea Afternoon in Chennai
We're short of hands for the Seniors' Tea Afternoon; can you spare a morning?
🇮🇳 Tamil Nadu, India828 views
Every year the Seniors' Tea Afternoon brings together 361 neighbors in Chennai. I help organize it with 4 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
I hope life is good to you.

Rooting for you. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Chennai.
Rooting for you, Sneha. Looking forward to the next update. All the best.
More neighborhoods should do this. My neighbor in Dhaka donated after I showed her your page. God bless
Sending love, Sneha. This could happen to any of us. God bless
take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Chennai.
Take care. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Wish I lived closer to Varanasi so I could bring a meal. Love from Columbus.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Hope it all works out, Sneha. Your post was clear and honest. After 26 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Davao City
Wishing you the best, Sneha. Great idea, hope you get there.
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Cairo
