Water shut-off notice: help Lerato pay $200
Lerato is behind on water bills after losing my job in August and needs $200 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 4 months behind. Lerato received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $200 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in August.
Lerato called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through winter without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Lerato is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Reconnection and late fees: $40
• Down payment on a payment plan: $90
