18 volunteers for the Refugee Welcome Picnic in Mumbai
Our small team in Mumbai is running the Refugee Welcome Picnic and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India326 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 549 neighbors in Mumbai. I help organize it with 12 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope things get better soon. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Mumbai.
Thinking of you and your family, Mukesh. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family, Mukesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Wishing you the best, Mukesh. Hope you get there. Take care.
