Zubby Kayode Uba
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- Pioneer Workshop
- Since 1980
- English, Hausa, French
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1980 in Kano and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Zubby
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Zubby: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
