I taught Spanish at Greenfield Boys' School in Novosibirsk from 1980 to 1992. Most days I taught Grade 6, and my door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 620 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Zoya
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
