I've spent ten years as a lecturer in political science at Heritage Institute of Technology in Newcastle upon Tyne. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I fix old bicycles.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
