Zelalem Hailu Nigussie

Youth rowing coach and mentor

  • 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Addis Ababa Gateway Football Club
  • 1982 to 1999
  • English, Amharic
For 17 years I ran the rowing program at Addis Ababa Gateway Football Club in Addis Ababa. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight. If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

More about Zelalem

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
