I've coached softball at Lahore Bamboo Athletic Club since 1992. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Zara
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Zara: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
