I teach art at Sunrise Boys' School in Bloemfontein since 2000. Most days I teach Grade 6, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,120 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Zanele
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Zanele: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me art in 2023 at Sunrise Boys' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

I'm a journalist now and I honestly think it started in your classroom! Greetings from Oakland.
