Zalak Deshpande
Agriculture and social studies teacher, Thane
- 🇮🇳 Thane, Maharashtra, India
- Since 1985
- English, Marathi
Thane Girls' School is my second home. I teach agriculture there since 1985, mostly first-year students.
Over the years I've had 1,270 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Zalak
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
