I've coached baseball at Lagos Athletic Club since 1992. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Zainab
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Zainab: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
