I coached chess at Heliopolis Boxing Gym from 2001 to 2018. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
More about Zahra
If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Zahra: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
