Yusuf P. Van der Merwe
20 years teaching design and technology in Johannesburg
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- Johannesburg Technical College
- 2018 to 2025

I taught design and technology at Johannesburg Technical College in Johannesburg from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Yusuf
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

you taught me design and technology in 2019 at Johannesburg Technical College. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
