Yusuf Andi Halim
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- The Victory Workshop
- 1989 to 2011
- English, Indonesian
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 1989 in Jakarta and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Yusuf
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Yusuf: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2017 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Yekaterinburg.
