Yuri Volodymyr Nikolaev

Youth tennis coach and mentor

  • 🇷🇺 Saint Petersburg, Saint Petersburg, Russia
  • Windsor Athletic Club
  • 2018 to 2025
  • English
For eight years I ran the tennis program at Windsor Athletic Club in Saint Petersburg. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

More about Yuri

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Södertälje.

You coached me in 2020. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Mar del Plata.
